Plein Air Easton 2014
Endured the hot July weather but I'm tropical-blooded so that was the easiest part. On the other hand, as always, it was an arduous feat to be away from my family for so many days. I was honored to compete and to make new artist-friends, and I also have a healthy respect for well executed plein-air painting. I learned that I prefer to put people in my landscapes and experienced the pressure of finding inspiration while producing "art" on demand.
My paintings "Markers" (above, left) and "Morning Light" (above, right) were at the Avalon Theatre's exhibit of studio work.
Plein Air Easton offers much more: artist demonstrations, gallery lectures, and a pink event for kids on Sunday, July 20. For more information on the entire Plein Air Easton Art Festival, visit PleinAirEaston.com
